The squad is full of winners, and you don’t win things by being lazy.
So that argument doesn’t stand for me.
I’d rather say some of them are not good enough to play the system he wants. Sadly, he is putting square pegs in round holes, and has been since Pochettino rumbled him.
You need pace out wide, but he continues to play Alonso and Azpilicueta as full backs. Neither have the pace or ability to play the attacking part of the position.
Why continue with something that isn’t working?
Will the club trust him further with players he supposedly needs, I doubt it. Why does he think an ageing striker, who has never played in England, will be able to score the goals we need, when he plays with a non creative, non goalscoring midfield? I just don’t see it.
