I’m not the manager here and I’ve said before that I would manage the team differently, but you and I aren’t professional football managers and as Pep said the other day, if it was as simple as people arrogantly often suggest it is, then give it a go and see if you can work your way up from nothing the same way Sarri has.

Sarri is here because the club liked the way his teams play and, rightly or wrongly, his way of getting us through this period will be to work on getting the players he’s got to execute his system better.

You’re fully entitled to the opinion that he’ll fail with that line of thinking, and I’m not suggesting he won’t but in the meantime, I’m not going to slag him off or judge him before the season has even fully panned out, or the point in which all our goals are no longer achievable.
