Good steps by the club. As the guy said they are tiny cogs.

[^] I’ve never understood how it’s been so widespread and accepted for so long

It's done quite literally under the noses of the Old Bill.

It’s one thing I’ve never got my head around.
Reminds me of something I’d actually forgotten from years ago, going back to the Bates days when you could still buy tickets on the day, the season the new West Stand had just been opened, I went to the ticket office before one match and they said they’d just sold out but the club staff actually pointed out a tout behind me who had two he wanted to get rid of, face value! Turned out they’d been bought on a dodgy credit card and weren’t valid after all that, but credit to the staff, I pointed out their own colleagues had pointed us in this bloke’s direction so they let me and my mate into the West Stand posh seats and we had our pick of one of the lovely cushioned seats in there! Bizarre to think back on it really

Different times mate. A bit like Eddie Barnett turning a blind eye to missing forms for European aways back in the day. "Oh so you don't have their form or ST?....How many do you need?" - Just like that.

Yep, for all the fun we poked at him down the years, he was always helpful and reasonable whenever I had dealings with him, when he hadn’t knocked off early and gone down the pub of course :-D

Interesting they choose to act at a time where there not been less demand for tickets in probably 20 years.
