“The system is a false problem, I know very well that, when we are losing, I have to put a striker on the pitch. When we are winning, I have to put a defender on the pitch. But I want to see the football in another way."
Sack this cnut now!
I just read that interview. The statement above makes no sense. This is a philosophy I find very puzzling. What are the fans expected to make of that. We are not far from the Cantona seagulls, trawlers and sardines with that quote.
I don’t think it helps that his communication in English isn’t the best. Though they even used to say that about his Italian interviews/press conferences as well!
Like you, I’m not sure what he actually means there...
Cantona’s at least made sense...
Sounds like he doesn’t want to solve the issue with how he should do, so will continue to only make like for like substitutions.
Is it any fucking wonder why he has never won anything? NO!
He should have been sacked after the Bournemouth game, not wait for us to get knocked out of the FA Cup, and what is a pending thumping in the League Cup Final.
Instead of “how I would do”, you wrote “how he should do”...
Wrong!
I was summarising what he said. My wording is correct.
I’m confused now.
So you’re saying he said he should do something, but then said he isn’t going to do what he thinks he should do?
That is exactly how I read the article posted by Stan.
Please advise me if I have read it incorrectly.
Sarri is the only one who can tell you whether you read it incorrectly or not.
I think what he’s trying to say, is that just because 1 million people might do it another way, doesn’t stop him doing something his way, and if his way doesn’t work then he knows those million people will moan that he should have done it their way.
