Indeed it is. It’s been going on since Abramovich took over, and is something I would fully expect a potential manager to be aware of, before accepting to become manager/head coach/puppet call them whatever you want.
Sarri did very well persuading the powers to sign Jorginho and Higuain.
It just makes me wonder what they say in the interview process, it’s hard to imagine Conte, for example, agreeing he’s happy for the club to keep buying random players just cos of who their agents are or what market demographic they’ll appeal to.
It wouldn’t surprise me if the only reason we got Jorginho was because they knew City were interested as well. And it does seem like January often ends up with the head coach’s picks coming in after half a season of evidence showing that what they’ve been given hasn't worked out (e.g. Morata)
I actually rate Jorginho.
