Singing along with the Bayern fans the night before in Augsberg "FC Bayern, la la la la" - They were a bit confused.
Watching the game again afterwards by the train station in an Albanian bar...along with Guillem Balague (who was gutted we'd won) and Gabrielle Marcotti (who was as hysterical about it all as the rest of us).
I think the Jaeger on tap in Augsburg helped 
Having a glass of coke after those packed train journeys was even sweeter than the first celebratory beer in that bar by the train station. First thing in the morning, stepping over thousands of people sleeping on the floor in the station, all in their Bayern gear, was surreal.

We went straight from the bar to catch our first train back to the hotel in Landsberg the next morning, surprised you weren’t in a pub yourselves
I felt rough mate, REALLY rough. NEB drank on the train talking to a couple of journos but I just slept and ignored them
