I appreciate the change, especially as so often this season he chose not to make meaningful changes in personnel or shape when he should have.

It's a mix of the two - No doubting we've got some rotten attitudes in that group of players, but the best managers coax something out of even those types. Fault lies with both, but ultimately the gaffer is paid a fortune to motivate his players (or pick ones who are). For too long, he moaned about his players...but kept using the same group.

On the subject of nice players, said this to R1der this morning - What a world of difference between someone like Cech (visibly disgusted at having lost, taking his medal straight off and when he was being interviewed, was visibly angry and upset...albeit partly as it's his final game of course) and some of his team mates who were laughing and joking with some of ours as they went to get their medals, busy taking selfies and all that...

As Cech said the other day, during our strong years "we'd feel like a draw was a defeat" - Obviously a generational thing sadly.
