There were some positives, along with plenty of worries. Hopefully we can get the injured players back quickly.
Nothing I’ve seen today has surprised me really. This is a huge job for Frank, probably the hardest ever for any Chelsea boss in the Abramovich era. I don’t think he’s under any illusions and he appears up for the biggest challenge of his career.

Yes, Frank is in a bit of bother with this lot I'm afraid.
We need to learn from these mistakes and quickly. Some of the football in the first half was promising but we always looked like we’d be vulnerable on the counter. Looking at the players we’re missing and what they’ll add when fit gives me some hope.

Expecting many a rocky result this year. Losing EH and the ban was always going to take its toll. Looking forward to Reece James and CHO over the piece and hope beyond hope Willian finally steps up.
Frank and Jody have many things at hand that can make us stronger over the season.
My hopes are a little smashed but my expectation is very much intact, sadly.
The strikers and Zouma worry the life out of me. It’s going to be very tough for any manager coming in without Hazard and despite being bang average without Higuian, Morata and let letting Luiz go.
We need Kante, CHO, RLC, Willian and Rudiger back ASAP but we knew it would be a difficult year.

I'm sure Frank/Jody will love the challenge though, this is right up their street. They have licence to try anything and everything.
It’s a funny old game. Could have easily gone in winning at half time.
If that shite team can tear us apart on counters, the likes of City and Scousers will have a field day.

I felt we were dreadful off the ball and patchy on it mate. This isn't me writing Frank and our season off...just me feeling we're terribly short on what we have been in recent years.
We have players returning and that will shore us up a little but executing chances we have real problems.
I have a feeling Lampard will have to turn to being defensive and counter-attack with this lot.
We were the better side for the first 60 minutes and were extremely unlucky tammy/emerson didnt score. If they had it would have been a totally different game, because MUFC are a great counter attacking side. Zouma's horrific error really was costly, as going 1-0 down and having to attack played right in to United's hands.
Defensively we will be a totally different side with rudiger next to Christensen and kante back in the midfield.
I expect Willian, pulisic, CHO and Ruben to play a lot this year, so attacking wise we should improve also. Maybe even with giroud over tammy but who knows at the moment.
Thought 4-0 was incredibly harsh but some woeful defensive errors. Azpi performance has seriously left me wondering if Reece james will be our first choice RB sooner rather than later.
Let's go turn those scouse bastards over tomorrow and get everyone (media etc) off Frank's back.

4-0 was indeed a scoreline that flatters United. I wouldn't write us off beating the murderers, far from it.
