Yes its a shame but some of these clubs have been over extending for years. EFL cannot be the guardian of all of these professional outfits. The fit and proper test is a joke. These clubs are like the dogs at Battersea, on death row and the EFL are pretty much just happy for anyone to take them. I remember when Holdsworth took over Bolton, they were running at 100m debt at one point. Not many businesses would be able to continue. Its harsh and unfair to the fans, I remember well our predictament and cycled to save the bridge in the 80's. I got on my bike and raised about 28 quid. Unfortuantley I can see more clubs going to the wall.

As I understand, that Dale at Bury is a guy who deals in bankrupt businesses. So any money given or a buy out is his plan to win cash. I may be wrong but I saw some articles alluding to that. Therfore who would want to pay him out if they have a business ethos. I expect with that fan base they reform and start a few leagues down and go again with a trust like others have. The council also need to try and protect the ground from development.

The Guardian have a good article on some of what was going on. It's clear the previous owner had questionable form, so really the question is why the EFL even allowed him to take over in the first place.

Yep think you can't own more than 10% of another club or something like that.

But suspect it was more the mess Bury were in, I'm not surprised nobody is touching it.

Previous owner at Bury had mortgaged in effect car parking spots at the stadium for nearly 10k per space as reported. Total madness. Also have enjoyed some great twitter responses from our true supporters rebuking the so called top 6 " you dont understand etc" some great "save the bridge" pictures. We were there and no one was going to save us except the fans and Ken.
