At no point did I think Kepa would save from Martinelli, never mind the next goal. Either out of form, or we have been stitched up big time. Where is Tomori.... he needs to play? Play Kante in his best position or get rid. My main worry is Jorginho. What does he actually do? I agree he is a sublime footballer but cannot play a holding role in our league. He loses the ball too often and provides no protection. Yet we do not play him further up to effect the play. Where is the leadership?

I’d like to think lack of transfers is down to the club just trying to thrash out the best possible deals and trying to avoid past mistakes of signing the wrong players (i.e third/fourth choices and not actually ones the manager wants). January is traditionally not a good time to buy.

I don’t think Cavani wants to come here, I think he wants to go to Atletico and be their main man and as proven as he has been over the years and could be a good option here & now, we’ve been stung so often making that kind of transfer where a star striker comes in, best days behind them, costing fortunes but offering little or nothing in terms of medium to long term effect on the squad, and doesn’t adjust to the League in the short term
