[^] old school Scottish footballer. Was better when Kovacic was beside him. The other players know how good he is; they didn't need to protect him or help him through. Swap Jorginho for someone half decent.

Impressive wasn’t he? Although does make you wonder if there is any communication between the youth set up and the first team as surely somebody at the club was aware of how good he is and we wouldn’t have had to overpay for a bog standard player like Kovacic.

I think Kovacic is doing well. Is that not the consensus on here? Billy Gilmour was fabulous first half. I was very surprised to see him start in the middle but thought he looked great.

Fingers crossed that last night is not his best performance in a Chelsea shirt!

I was critical of him last year but think he's been quality this year. Gilmour looks a real talent, which is just as well as it looks we will need him in the run-in!

Definitely better than last season but he needed to be. He’s tidy enough but nothing more than that and certainly not worth £40 million. Given what we already had at the club there was no need to spend that type of money on another midfielder who doesn’t create many chances and has minimal goal scoring ability. I appreciate he was the only player we could buy, but he is not a player that was important to secure.

I think he is hugely different to last season. Frankly, I walked away from the Bayern game thinking he was the only player on our side who could have played for them so I am a believer!
