Well done. The clubs response to the pandemic has been first class [^] They don't always get it right but I've been proud of their response.

A shame that the media have chosen to be so selective in their reporting of it [clown] [clown] [clown]

I read the club statement then some of the reporting and was WTF? To be honest not surprised, hard to have a lower opinion of most of the press!

Set the standard and the media.. Throughout all of this since when did the reporter become the expert. Shocking some of this journalism.. As for the twitter experts...[rant]

The BBC website headline "Chelsea's first team not taking pay cut". After all the good the club has done during this period.

The BBC is a giant propaganda machine and Chelsea FC, it's core support being historically working-class, is to be looked down on and damned at every opportunity.

We only have to look at what they've covered up to know they are an evil cult.

:O
It’s far from just the BBC, I’ve seen most different media outlets with headlines like this.
I know they’re not always a group who it’s easy to sympathise with, but I think the demonisation of footballers over the past few weeks has been unfair and unnecessary.

I expect it from the paper media but the BBC is supposed to be above all that.

Happened all my life but it still gets my goat sometimes, especially in matters like this where the lads and the club have done us proud.

My hatred of the BBC is showing.

Unfortunately nowadays it’s all about clickbait and web traffic, particularly through social media. One of the disadvantages of that is it feels like it’s a bit of a race to the bottom and that many traditionally reputable media outlets are being dragged down.

[^] Lots of articles these days(not just football)seem to be full of quotes from Twitter to back up a narrative. Gawd help us.

[^] one of my real pet hates, aside from lazily using it as a source for and in their stories, is the media using Twitter as any genuine gauge of opinion, as opposed to seeing it for what it is - a bubble, an echo chamber and a heightened exaggeration of a relatively small proportion of certain groups’ particular points of view

The media and social media is just one big muppet show.
