Stuff like this rubbish bugs me. The only player I'd consider to give massive praise to for staying at one club his whole career would be Le Tissier. Even then you wonder if anyone else even came in for him and whether he'd have been a success at a bigger club due to the fact he wasn't the most professional with his lifestyle or training. No bigger club would ever consider taking a risk on Ledley King due to his knees being made of Shredded Wheat, if they weren't you can guarantee he'd not have stuck around if Man Uts, Barca or Real came knocking. Let's also remember that while he was a good defender his massive injury problems seemed to elavate him to world-class status. The longer he didn't play the better he got. The Scholes', gary neville's, Giggs', Raul's ets were at world class clubs their entire lives and won endless trophies. How the hell can they be praised for showing loyalty while getting massive wages at the biggest clubs? It's like praising Messi for his loyalty......

Carragher ? He won loads, he also wasn't good enough to join a better club than Liverpool.

Gerrard ? He tried to move to Chelsea twice, was threatened and advised against it by a few locals and signed 2 massive contract extensions while also winning plenty.

How can the likes of Owen be criticised for getting the chance to go to a club like Real Madrid ?

The inclusion of David Beckham doesn't even make sense, he'd have happily stayed at Man Utd only Ferguson bombed him out.

It's lazy Kopite shite. Maybe we should criticise every player Liverpool have ever signed, no, lets criticise every single footballer on Earth who never stayed at their 1st club their entire lives. They deserve it, the scumbags.....

I wish you weren't right, but mostly I think you've got it spot-on :O

There was a baseball player in the '60's and '70's, Rod Carew, an outfielder for the Minnesota Twins. He was a gifted athlete and a great hitter. Near the end of an illustrious career, the Twins' owner turned loose-lipped after a few in a local bar. He mocked Carew and gloated how he had paid him under the odds for his whole career, thankful that Carew was black and stupid in the owner's estimation. Carew naturally was furious, and I believe he sued. The rewards of loyalty.
