There was a baseball player in the '60's and '70's, Rod Carew, an outfielder for the Minnesota Twins. He was a gifted athlete and a great hitter. Near the end of an illustrious career, the Twins' owner turned loose-lipped after a few in a local bar. He mocked Carew and gloated how he had paid him under the odds for his whole career, thankful that Carew was black and stupid in the owner's estimation. Carew naturally was furious, and I believe he sued. The rewards of loyalty.
