Glad he got a result last night
Some Everton fans need to have a look at themselves the way they slag him off, like him or hate him he was well paid by Everton but he done a great job for us over the 11 years and deserves a bit of respect id say
Respect works both ways, and going straight back to your old club to unsettle their best players to get them on the cheap isn't showing them due respect.
Agreed but at a club like utd he would tell them the players he wants the board do the rest
Im sure he knew the price but he is in charge of them now not us
im only saying what he done for us shouldn't be forgotten like loads of blues have already
I have always loved to hate Moyes... I the way he behaved towards Everton was shítty and also the way he has behaved towards us since... In short he did great, could have done better and really I fell out with him in semi against Liverpool - I actually felt he perhaps should have gone in 2010... Thats me though
I wanted him gone after the 2009 final as then I thought he had taken us as far as he could
But no one can slag him for the job or service he gave us he built the platform for Martinez as ive put below loads of blues have short memories
Football isn't a game about memories anymore. You are either with us or against us now and anyone that leaves the club to go elsewhere will always be treated by the majority as lepers. Same works the other way, where previously hated players and managers suddenly become heroes when they become involved in your club.
That's the nature of the game I'm afraid, better to just accept it.
Not sure I agree with that... I still love Cahill - mind you if he was at Sunderland say I perhaps wouldnt
Nonsense that IMO
typical sky era comment that
agree from where we were to where we are (were when he went), a different plain... But for me 2009 was the team the team that should have won something, it didnt and instead of breaking it up and really starting over he let it get a year or two too old and we dipped.
That said the final straw was that 7 days finishing in the semi against Liverpool... I hated him (as opposed to loving to hate him), after that.
Hate is a bit strong I admit, but I just couldnt see us ever doing anything under him.
I am enjoying his season at United I have to say - That said I think he will come good and I think that any manager bar probably two or three in the world would have struggled
The derby before the semi was worse IMO he threw that one away when we were flying at the time
